“Our Story”

Simon and his father Ken took over the Farm Shop and PYO from Frampton’s in 1984.

The Farm Shop was small and sold local and home grown produce, with the PYO open during the summer months.

In 1999 Simon and his wife Becky realised that people had started to become much more aware of where their food was coming from and wanting to shop more locally rather than using the large multiples. In the early 2000’s they made the decision to reduce the strawberry growing, which they had grown for the supermarkets for many years, and grow a larger selection of fruit and vegetables to sell in the Farm Shop year round.

Needing more space they have gradually extended and also refurbished the shop twice over the years and with the addition of the Butchery and Delicatessen it has become what it is today. We source local produce from over 70 different local suppliers and grow over 40 different crops on the farm throughout the year all of which are sold in the shop.

The Pet shop opened next door to the Farm Shop in 1998. It stocks a huge variety of different feed, treats, bedding, toys and accessories for all pets including, poultry, horses, goats and even hedgehogs! Our very knowledgeable team offer advice and we are also licensed to sell worming and flea treatments.

In 2020 the Runcton Farm Cafe opened which has given us a wonderful space for people to enjoy hot and cold drinks, a large range of Cakes, Scones, Breakfasts and Lunches. All of these are made from scratch in our kitchen by our talented chefs using as much of our own produce as possible.

We hope you enjoy your visit to us here in Runcton where we have strived to create a destination that caters for everybody’s tastes and requirements.
